The third annual Southern Utah Book Festival will be held October 5-10, 2026, in Cedar City. You can expect to engage with more of your favorite authors and illustrators during this free festival.
The Festival in Short
The Southern Utah Book Festival is a gathering of readers, writers, illustrators, and book enthusiasts located in Cedar City. This literary experience invited readers to engage with writers, illustrators, and workshop facilitators. Some festival highlights include:

35+ presenters, ranging from authors to illustrators to workshop facilitators, graciously sharing their works, talents, and passion for literature.

20+ genres and literacy activities, including creative nonfiction and memoir, fantasy, literary fiction, middle grade, mystery, poetry for kids and adults, screenwriting, and Southern Paiute storytelling.

Programming around town in Bookdom Apothecary, Cedar City Library, Cedar Fun Center, Main Street Books, and the Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA).
